daetz who is on assignment in boston. we want to get right to abc7 meteorologist leigh glaser for a look at the heat. any records today? >> leigh: no records today but turning to live doppler 7hd and you can see no returns. we're in a very dry weather pattern, and would you take a look at the highs for today. no records, although very toasty. santa rosa, 87. 81 in oakland. livermore, 89. san jose, 84. these numbers well above where we should be. check out the 24-hour change. up ten degrees from this time yesterday in santa rosa. up 11 at sfo. and we could have some record highs tomorrow. i'll show you which areas could see these records. >> turning now to boston, where a community is trying to recover

from chaos. ♪ >> a memorial today as hundreds of people gathered to remember the victims of monday's bombing at the boston marathon. a moment of silence will be held tomorrow at 2:50 eastern time. the momente first bomb snierl worshipers filled boston's cathedral of the holy cross today. the cardinal calling for peace, seeing the crimes of the two young men should not justify prejudice against immigrants. >> we're learning more part the attack and the suspects. today boston officials say surveillance video from the boston marathon shows dzhokar tsarnaev setting his backpack down and quickly moving away. the massachusetts governor says the video is chilling. tsarnaev is in the hospital under heavy guard but we are learning he is awick and responding in writing to

questions from officers. no further details have been released to far. he has severe throat wounds and is unable to physically talk with police. boston's police commissioner says he believes the suspects were likely planning other attacks. >> they clearly had other explosives. they detonated those at the scene of the expreaft shootout in tertown. we feel they had plans to use those explosives. possibly on soft targets. >> charged are expected to be filed soon against tsarnaev. investigators are looking into this brother's recent trip to a region of russia that is a hotbed of islamic activity. senator dianne feinstein believes tsarnaev should not be classified as an enemy combatant. that would be unconstitutional. she is confident a solid case can be made for the death penalty without it. >> there is ample evidence, fingerprints, direct testimony

>> dunlap plans to run in boston again next year. the presidio ten honors a runner who was killed by being hit by a car while running in the presidio. >> stay with abc7 and abc7news.com for the newest details on the boston bombingsup in golden gat left an ugly mess behind. thousands of people turned out for the 4/20 party celebrating marijuana at sharon meadow yesterday. lillian kim is live at golden gate park. lillian, what do you see out there now? reporter: the meadow here at golden gate park is for the most part cleaned up, but, wow, it took city workers all day to get to this point. one rec and parks employee said 11 tons of trash were left behind as a result of yesterday's 4/20 gathering. 40/20 is a celebration of marijuana that has been going on for years but yesterday leaders say the unofficial, unpermitted

celebration, got out of hand. several fights broke out and we've been told there were reports of vandalism in surrounding neighborhoods. as many as 15,000 people are thought to have converged here, perhaps the largest 4/20 crowd here ever. but the few participants say the big crowd and the big mess left behind are not a big deal. >> how much money did it brick in yesterday? think of the golden gate bridge. five dollars a pop. all the people from marin. >> we had folks of all ages, all walks of life, and the gang members were behaving themselves, and just it's the way the world ought to be. >> it's important we do exactly what we did during halloween, and we have to make sure it doesn't happen because i'm not certain that we have the ability as a city to condone the behavior, because it's not for medical reasons. it's for recreational reasons. and so i just think we're going to have to crack down as a city

because of the irresponsibility of the organizers of the event. of the 25 city workers that have been working all day picking up trash, many had to be pulled on their day off and because th wa gathering with no permit, taxpayers will foot the bill, and the one big thing that gave cleanup crews a hard time were these cigar wrappers, leather all over the police, and very time consuming to pick up. >> thank you, lillian. a man who has been shot in oakland, in an upscale city neighborhood during an attempted robbery in rockridge. a man was walking when someone tried to rob him. the guckman shot the man but not taking anything from him. the victim was taken to the hospital. the gunman escaped on foot. >> now details about another shooting. ing a own land man who was shot

clean. the 37-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct in georgia. this is her mug shot from the atlanta department of corrections. police say her husband is accused of driving while intoxicated. police say witherspoon refused to stay in the car and was handcuffed and arrested. then she asked t officer, do you know who i am? doesn't usually work. reese was released on friday. >> knew details about a stubborn brush fire in southern california that continues to burn. the fire in monrovia is 85% contained. all evacees have been allowed to return home. 125 acres burned. the fire began from a piece of equipment being used by a gardner. >> air travel could take a little longer at some airports over the next five months. furlough days started today, affecting 47,000 federal aviation administration employees. each employee will miss two days of work a month.

a proposed internet privacy bill would give you the right to see information companies are compiling on you. the right to know act would force companies to show consumers the personal data collected on them and how it's being used. according to our media partner san jose mercury news, tech firms and bank says the bill

69 in san francisco. oakland, 80. it's 79 in san jose. half moon bay, 73. another beautiful shot from our mt. tamalpais camera over the ocean. accept rose sacks 84 right now. napa, 77. here is a look at our forecast highlights. clear tonight. not as cold because of the high heat today so a little mor comfortable tomorrow morning. near record highs for your monday, and then after that get ready for a cooldown as we head into the middle part of the work week, lows tonight, north boy, mid-to-low 40s this morning. the heat today will keep you warmer so generally widespread 50s around the bay area, maybe a little bit milder out towards antioch with overnight low of 56. high pressure continues to dominate, pushing the storm track well to the north. no rain in the accuweather forecast. for at lest the next sevens.

this high guilt closer to us -- this eye -- high will get closer, and the coast will warm up as the air come presses close to the surface and could translate to near record highs in some locations tomorrow. now, here is a look at a couple of places where i think you probably will either tie or you could possibly set a new record. these are the records to beat for tomorrow. oakland, 85. san jose, 89. santa rosa, 90. the record set back in 2009. for oakland, at least, i'm forecasting a high of 82 degrees. you add three more degrees and you'll tie the 85 record for tomorrow. after that the temperatures start to trend down. by thursday the fog returns and definitely temperatures start to get a bit cooler. as for the livermore valley area, 89 tomorrow. you had 89 today. you might pop up into the low 90s. we'll keep a close eye on it.

and then temperatures start to trend down by thursday, friday, saturday, back down into the 70s. so looks like monday, tuesday, the warmest days of the work week, and then start to cool things up. tomorrow, 87, gilroy. 84, menlo park. near 70 at the coast tomorrow. 75, san francisco. h bay,86. , 86.oakland, 84, castro valley. east bay, brentwood, livermore, near 90. 88, concord. here's the seven-day forecast. two days of warming. monday the warmest and then shave numbers off on tuesday. thursday, friday, saturday, fog moves back in, temperatures come on down into the 70s. >> still looks pretty beautiful to me. thanks, leigh. >> time now for sports. do you know who he is? >> who is he reese wither spoon?

the warriors got bad news. david lee is out for the season with a torn right hip flexor. the injure occurred in the fourth quarter yesterday. lee took a nasty spill going to the hoop. he hit the floor hard. lee says there was nothing dirty about the play. his lost will be tough to replace. he0 points 4 , d yesterday. today he said he knew he was done right away. >> the reason why i new last night it was torn after it happened, it wasn't severe pain like i pulled something. almost like i went to raise my knee and i had no feeling in my whole entire hip area. i was playing for the best -- praying for the best today put i somewhat knew what the outcome would be. >> unfortunate, especially for other guy that has worked so hard and put him in the position we're in today, and the task still at hand so we move forward. >> mike: the beauty of team sports. the next guy has to sand up.
